Webchat Widget Releases

SmartAgent Webchat Widget releases cover the app which your customers interact with on your website to start a webchat, and all related services.

We release the SmartAgent Webchat Widget on an ad hoc basis - as and when we have new features, improvements and/or bug fixes to support customers chatting with your contact centre.

Release Notifications

We will communicate the upcoming release at least 2 weeks before the scheduled production release date. If your organisation uses webchat, subscribed users will receive an email which contains:

  • Confirmation that the new release is now available in staging environments
  • Link to the release notes
  • Production release date

Your production release date will be at least 2 weeks away, giving you time to review the changes, perform any testing required and update any documentation on your website.

Release Notes

Our release notes are designed to help you understand the impact of any new features, changes or bug fixes on your customers. We will include descriptions of the old and new functionality as well as screenshots. When there are changes which will immediately affect your customer’s experience, we will clearly outline these to help you to ensure your agents are prepared.

Sometimes new features will need to be switched on or enabled in settings, we’ll also let you know how to do this.
