We’re excited to announce the launch of SmartAgent version 2.98!
This release includes improvements to help simplify and speed up your use of SmartAgent, along with key bug fixes to enhance your overall experience.

Product Enhancements

Automated Rules - End Action | Contact Trace Records (CTRs) for contacts that have been ended by an automated rule are now visible in SmartAgent Contact Search. This enhancement allows us to deprecate the Interactions Plugin in the upcoming 2.99 release, giving all clients time to transition to Contact Search and Contact History. Permissions | The existing ‘Access Call Recording’ permission has been updated to also include screen recordings. It is now titled ‘Access Call and Screen Recording’. In a future release, these will be split into separate permissions for more granular control. |
Contact Search | Agents can now search SMS messages sent by other agents by filtering via the System Phone Number. To use this feature, SMS must be selected as the channel . |
Bug Fixes
Area | Description |

Outbound email | Fixed an issue where agents switching between an outbound email contact and other SmartAgent features would lose their drafted text. The draft is now correctly persisted. |
Contact search | Fixed a UI issue where the Clear and Search buttons would shift position when using Advanced Search. They now remain consistently on the right-hand side. Improved performance when loading contacts with extensive email history by introducing a “Load Older Messages” option. This allows agents to browse contact history in a controlled and responsive manner. Fixed an issue where, after selecting a specific queue in the queue filter, search results still returned all queues. Results now correctly reflect the selected filter. |
This release also includes several general improvements and background fixes to further enhance platform stability and performance.
New “Technical” How-to guides on SmartAgent Community
Following your feedback we have moved some of the more detailed guides into a new “Technical” section on the SmartAgent Community page. Any existing bookmarks of these pages will be redirected to their new home in the Community.
